in Psychotherapy and Counselling

Australian Centre for Integrative Studies (ACIS)

Australian Centre for Integrative Studies offer a comprehensive 4-year training in Relational Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy. This training focuses on the core competencies required in becoming a psychotherapist. Its main aim is to train psychotherapists as opposed to technicians. It offers a training that integrates theories pertaining to human development, attachment theory, theories of self and the unconscious processes that exist between the psychotherapist and client. The training emphasizes the therapeutic relationship as the curative factor in treatment. It uses Transactional Analysis as one of its central models to demonstrate these qualities at a Graduate Diploma level. ACIS is linked to the Western Pacific Association of Transactional Analysis which is a member association of PACFA and is represented in two sections. Staff members of ACIS are nationally and internationally involved in training standards in the field of psychotherapy.
